Yosemite National Park Personal Day Tour (Day Trips from SF)

Description

Hailed as the "crown jewel" of the National Park Service, Yosemite is truly a breath of fresh air. On this day tour, spend 5-6 hours snapping photos of waterfalls and watching climbers scale granite cliffs. Park entry fee included.

First, we'll pick you up in our comfortable, passenger van, fueled by 100% Biodiesel (vegetable oil-based fuel) from your San Francisco hotel. Then, we head east across the Bay Bridge, offering great views of San Francisco Bay, the Golden Gate Bridge & Alcatraz.

Stop at a fruit stand in the Central Valley (10 minutes approximately). After our rest stop, journey through the cattle & horse ranching lands of the Sierra Nevada foothills before continuing through Gold Country and the old gold rush town of Groveland.

Wind your way into Yosemite National Park and enjoy an approximate 1.5-hour guided tour through Yosemite's glaciated valley with its famous waterfalls & rock formations, including Yosemite Falls, El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall & Sentinel Dome.

You'll get a chance to walk to the base of the falls, get some lunch, visit the main visitor's center, The Ansel Adams Gallery, rent a bike or hike some of the shorter trails. Spend approximately 3 hours exploring the park on your own before returning to your hotel in San Francisco.

Was one of the best days we have ever had. The bus driver was very friendly and we felt very safe at all times, especially on the winding, snow covered roads! The scenery was spectacular and worth the long drive. Thanks

This tour was amazing and our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable! Wow, what an awesome place! The tour covered all the main points of interest and our tour guide recommended the mist trail which is a must. I would not hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone who, like us, had a very busy holiday itinerary and could not spare longer than a day for Yosemite. It is an amazing taster; go for it! This was the highlight of our holiday and I would thoroughly recommend this tour company. The group size was perfect.

My sister and I had a great time on this trip and our guide was great. He was awesome about stopping at places heading to Yosemite that he thought would be good picture opportunities. Even though the drive is fairly lengthy from San Francisco this trip was well worth the early morning pick-up!

If you are visiting the San Francisco area and have a few days, this trip is a MUST!!! Our tour guide was incredible and very informative. Don't let the long trip keep you from going on this tour. The trip is very scenic and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!! (It's much better than the "big bus" tours.)

Before I went I was a little dismayed at the early start but it was SO worth it! My mum had used this company a couple of years ago when she had been on her own in San Francisco. She convinced me that I should make the day trip. I'm so glad I listened! The driver was informative, amusing. The stop for 'supplies' at the grocery store was fun in itself. I could of stayed there a little longer to check it out better! Scenery AMAZING! Was I alone? Well I was suprised to find other 'single' travelers on the bus even though my mum had told me there had been a few singles on HER tour. Being a small party we all got talking and by the time we got to Yosemite we all had 'buddies' with which to share the experience. Exploring time was plenty at the park. My new buddy and I managed to get a little lost but found our way back. Getting so close to the wildlife was great fun. Would I go again? YES. Would I recommend this company? YES. Regrets? YES - not listening to my mother when she said TAKE A CAMERA!
