When do we pay?The Alcatraz Portion of this combination tour cannot be confirmed outside of 90 days prior to travel. Within 30 days of your scheduled travel date, you will see a credit card charge from "Alcatraz Cruises, LLC" and will receive a separate Voucher for your Alcatraz Tour Portion of this package. A Voucher will be sent to you via email, just print it off and present it at check-in on the day of your tour.

The solitude and freedom of Muir Woods, which houses one of the world's oldest and tallest groves of Redwood trees, comes together with an exciting Alcatraz tour of the country's most infamous prison.
Your day starts with a scenic drive over the Golden Gate Bridge, where you'll stop in order to take advantage of gorgeous, picturesque views of the city of San Francisco as well as the San Francisco Bay. Be sure to bring your camera!
Next, you'll head through the coastal mountains to the Bay Area's most popular national monument, Muir Woods. Muir Woods is a 550-acre National Monument, which features an extensive grove of Coastal Redwoods, some of the oldest and tallest trees in the world. Here, you can spend approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes on your own exploring this beautiful area (entry fee included).
Then, you'll head to the unique and quaint Mediterranean-like town of Sausalito. Here, you'll have time to grab a bite to eat, shop at some of the town's many boutiques, check out the art galleries and admire the fabulous mansions around the area (approximately 45-60 minutes).
Keep your cameras ready because next you're off to Alcatraz Island (ferry ride and Alcatraz ticket included). The island was once home to some of this country's most notorious criminals, including Al Capone and Machine Gun Kelly and this unique Alcatraz tour will reveal it all! Take the audio walking tour of this famous Island Prison (included), and tour through the many cellblocks. You'll even learn about the famous Escape From Alcatraz.
Normally, the ferry tickets to Alcatraz sell out weeks in advance. We pre-buy the tickets and include them in this combination tour for you. This means that there will be 2 charges on your credit card. One for your tour, the other for your Alcatraz tickets. Please Note: We cannot sell Alcatraz tickets alone.

It was a beatuiful tour, my only complaint might be that its a little short, but its well worth the money. We had a really good guide and felt like we got a lot out of the experience.

Our guide was excellent. We enjoyed all stops. The only complaint was the long wait. We drove some distance and arrived at the time we were told- 8:30. However, the bus to Alcatraz didnt leave until after 10 and were were on the 10:30 ferry. It was cutting it close when we still had to pick up our tickets. All 3 stops were great.

My husband and I,who live in florida, took our grandson to yosimite and then San Francisco. Nine years ago we done the same tour and knew it was awesome. The tour guide we had ,Kennth, from North Carolina, was the best, he was a gentleman and very informative. Hats off to Kenneth, give him a raise, thank you we will be back.
PS My husband got his his long awaited hamburger,9 years, in Sausalito at the small resturant on the main street and that made his day complete!!
